The following are known problems with the current release of Progress Planner Personal Version 1.71 and Progress Planner Professional Version
1.2.
- Problem: On some computers, during installation the following message may
appear "Cannot write to the file c:\windows\system\wininet.dll" or
another ".dll" file.
Cause: You have a Windows application that is currently using this
file.
Solution: You can choose IGNORE in response to this error message and the installation will continue. At the end of the installation you should get a message confirming that the program was successfully installed.
If you get a message that the installation was unsuccessful then you need to
make sure no other programs are running and reinstall Progress Planner.
- Problem: Error message
"invalid use of null" when using the pop-up calendar control or accessing the
Monitor page on computer with Microsoft Office XP installed.
Cause: Our program was written for an older version of a Microsoft calendar
control. New version of the Microsoft Office XP are shipped with a new
calendar control that is causing the problem. Microsoft has acknowledge that
there is a problem with the newer calendar control that they ship with Office
XP and programs that were written with the old calendar control. You can see
their bug report at:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;311219&Product=acc.
Solution: Unfortunately the resolution to this problem is to rewrite the
program code for Progress Planner. This is a major upgrade and we do not know
when a fix will be ready. You should still be able to enter the start and end
date directly into the text boxes without using the popup calendar. We
apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused you.
