Step 1 - Check system requirements

Make sure your system meets the following requirements:

Windows 95/98/2000/NT/ME
486 or better processor
30 MB of available hard-drive space

Step 2 - Read License Agreement and installation information

Please read the License Agreement that governs the use of Progress Planner Personal and Professional software programs.

Read the Progress Planner Professional ReadMe file for information about installing and using Progress Planner Professional.

Step 3 - Download required file

You may download either a compressed executable file from our site (.exe file) or a .zip file. These files are identical except that for the .zip file you will need an extraction program (like WinZip) to unzip the file.

After you click on one of the Download links below, either a "File Download" window will appear immediately or another window will open up and you will be asked to select the download site closest to you.

Progress Planner Personal 1.71

Note: If you have Microsoft Access 2000 or above installed on your computer, you can download a version of Progress Planner Personal that will use Microsoft Access 2000 or above to open Progress Planner. You must have Microsoft Access 2000 or above installed on your computer to use either of the following two files:

Progress Planner Professional 1.21

Progress Planner Professional combines the elements of strategic planning, business planning, performance planning and monitoring to effectively manage team performance.

Note: If you have Microsoft Access 2000 or above installed on your computer, you can download a version of Progress Planner Professional that will use Microsoft Access 2000 or above to open Progress Planner. You must have Microsoft Access 2000 or above installed on your computer to use either of the following two files:

Step 4 - Save file

When the "File Download" window appears select the "Save this file to disk" option. Then press the OK button.

NOTE: Pay special attention to which drive and directory you are saving the file to because you will need to browse to this file later using Windows Explorer.

Installing Progress Planner

When the download process is complete, use Windows Explorer
to browse to the same drive and directory which you selected earlier
(e.g., C:\My Documents\Progress.exe).
Double click on the Progress.exe, ProgressForAccess1-71.exe, ProPlanner.exe, ProPlannerForAccess or Setup.exe file (contained within the ezPro1-71.zip, mapro1-71.zip, ezppp1-2.zip or mappp1-2.zip file).
Follow the onscreen instructions for a TYPICAL installation.
If you are installing Progress Planner in a directory other than the default directory. The first time you use Progress Planner a window will appear requesting the location of the file ProgressPlanner_be.mdb or PPPro_be.mdb. (This file is located in the directory you specified for the program installation.)
